Torqeedo 1103CL (LONG shaft length model) electric outboard. It’s German-made, from the best-known brand in the industry, with an 1100W motor and integrated (but easily removable for transport, storage and charging) 916Wh lithium battery. Unlike earlier Torqeedo motors that looked very similar and had very similar names (the 1003), the Torqeedo 1103CL is a direct-drive motor, and so quiet that to all intents and purposes you can call it silent… the water splashing against the hull usually drowns it out! As the L Long shaft model it’s suitable for all boats with transom heights up to about 47cm tall (measuring top to bottom). It’s IP67 water-resistant, lightweight (and divides into two main parts), incredibly easy to use, and all-but maintenance free (other than very basic DIY such as contact spray in the connectors). The LCD display on the tiller shows how much battery you’ve got left, speed and range (GPS-derived), and how much power you’re using. Included as standard when you buy a Torqeedo 1103CL are the motor, battery, 240V mains charger, battery retaining pin, steering lock pin, and magnetic kill cord.
