Tohatsu MFS 9.9CY S 9.9hp petrol outboard with 12 litre external tank. This motor at 37kg is about as much as you’d want to move around on land, but once on the boat is a lovely smooth 4-stroke and ideally suited to the SpearFish 520 and Fore Runner folding RIBs.
The new Tohatsu MFS 9.9CY model is engineered to be EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) for the first time in the 200cc and 8-10hp class. This makes it quieter, smoother, more economical, and easier to start than carburettor models… and best of all with EFI there’s no carburettor to gum up!
The battery-less EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) model is the lightest 2-cylinder 9.9 hp on the market, with many upgraded features from its predecessor.
