Epropulsion Spirit PLUS/EVO battery output set

By connecting a Spirit battery output set to your Spirit battery you can use it to power external devices – such as a fridge, chart plotter, or lights – at the same time as powering your motor if you wish. The main component is a “T-connector” cable; one side of this is connected to the battery and the other is connected to the motor cable or (if motor is not being used) the Spirit battery activator (included). The battery activator tells you the battery charge status (as a percentage) and can also be used without the cable, for example if you want to find out your Spirit battery charge status without attaching it to the tiller/remote control.

If you need 12V or 24V for your external devices you will also need a DC:DC converter, not included. We can usually help with selecting/supplying this, if you need us to and/or don’t already have such a thing.

In our own experiments we found that a Spirit PLUS battery, connected via a Spirit battery output set and Victron 48:12 DC:DC converter, would run a 35 litre compressor fridge for about four days. Obviously that depends on many factors such as external temperature, what you put in the fridge, and how often you open it, but it was useful nonetheless. Other items you might power such as LED lights or a small chartplotter could potentially be powered for much longer still, especially as (unlike a fridge) they’re less likely to be switched on continuously.
